Timmins ON:- Riley Dickson, a Registered Nurse currently working in the Emergency Room has passed away. He was announced dead today, Tuesday, the 18th of June 2024. Registered Nurse Riley Dickson died unexpectedly at the age of 28. He was working on becoming a certified PICC insertionist before his passing.
“I am deeply sorry for such a devastating loss. Riley and my daughter Emily are friends and he was such a bright light. I loved our chats, his enthusiasm and the way he supported his friends. May he find peace. Again, I am so very sorry and utterly gutted with this news.” So far, no official news on his cause of death has been released. He was honestly such a positive, life-loving guy.
Who was Riley Dickson?
Riley was granted admission to Queens University to start his master’s program in September. Following that, he intended to instruct the upcoming generation of medical professionals in anatomy. He was renowned for both his humour and intelligence. He accomplished the dreams of most individuals in just 28 years. Riley made it very apparent to his loved ones and friends that he wanted to donate his organs.

His tissue gifts changed the lives of up to 80 other people in addition to saving the lives of five. He spent his 28 years working as an RN in Pembroke, Halifax, CHEO, Vancouver, and the Heart Institute in Ottawa. Riley loved to go hiking, rock climbing, wakeboarding, skydiving, whitewater rafting, cross-country and downhill skiing, camping, and fishing. He had travelled to Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and of course Amsterdam. He had also walked to Machu Picchu in Peru and experienced Iceland’s hot springs.

A viewing will be held for Friends on Friday, June 28th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Miron-Wilson Funeral Home in Timmins.
